This is an excellent resort. It is gorgeous and clean, with a large pool and a beach. Each day, the guests receive a text listing all the activities, and there is plenty to do in the morning, afternoon, and evening (for example, Yoga, Handcraft, Bike tour, Aqua Aerobics, Sports, Latin dance classes, Live music, and evening shows). There is no need to go out of the resort for entertainment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I paid a little extra for the 'preferred' option and do not regret it. Anibal was my 'butler,' and he was excellent--highly responsible, respectful, and friendly. Many people working in this resort go the extra mile to help the guests. These extraordinary workers include Julia, "La Diva," Rihanna, Beyonce (some use nicknames), Teofilo, Rigoberto, Jackson, Richard, Esperanza, and Maria. While tips are included in the final price, I highly recommend tipping some resort workers. No one knows how much of the "included tip" is given to the workers; thus, it is a way to help them financially (not to mention that the Hyatt is making a lot of money—remember, labor in the Dominican Republic is cheap).

Our concierge, Sergio did all he could to make sure that we were comfortable, based on our needs. I observed the cleanliness protocols throughout the resort and I was very impressed. I felt comfortable knowing that I was able to move about while not worrying about germs too much. The resort is aesthetically mind-blowing! The crew is always at work cleaning so that the resort stays immaculate. We really loved the turn-down service each night! We don't recall ever having this without requesting it.

Evening shows are fun, especially the Queen tribute and the Michael Jackson show in the lobby. Cocktail bars are superb, and the staff is extremely friendly and fun! This is our second time returning to this resort, and both times we rented a beach facing swim out preferred club, which I'd definitely recommend!
